After a successful debut in 2024 and a popular return in 2025, Rising North is Shetland's youngest festival, focusing on rock and alternative music.
The festival's stock continues to 'rise' and Northern Irish rockers, Ash, who had a string of hits in the 1990s, will headline the festival in 2026. This follows 2025 headline appearances by Scottish singer-songwriter Callum Beattie, and the visiting band High Fade.
A core part of the festival's ethos remains giving local bands a platform to perform, and bringing exciting bands to the islands for a celebration of rock.
