On Lerwick Up Helly Aa day, you can get a taste of traditional Shetland music at the Fiery Sessions, held this year at Mareel in Lerwick.
This is a ticketed event with two performances, the first at 11am and the second at 1.30pm. You can buy tickets from the Shetland Arts website.
The popular annual concert will, as usual, showcase some of Shetland's finest musical talent and include a visit from the Junior Jarl Squad (at the 1.30pm performance).
