Uyeasound located at the south end of Unst is a naturally protected harbour with the isle of Uyea to the south providing shelter. The new pier offers a secure berth for visiting craft.

Within the confines of the new pier, a small craft pontoon is available for small vessels but this is not suitable for cruising yachts, who can find a berth at the main pier. However the pier is heavily used by fish farm vessels so space may be limited. As with other commercial piers in Shetland, the use of fender boards is recommended.

During the summer, Uyeaound hosts various events, including a regatta and the popular Unstfest. There are occasionally events on at the hall, only 10 minutes walk away.

The facilities are limited at Uyeasound however most services can be reached by a short bus or taxi ride to Baltasound. See the Visit Unst website for more information.
