Shetland Classic Motor Show

The Shetland Classic Motor Show occurs every two years and has grown to become one of the major shows in the country.

Shetland has an ever-growing number of classic vehicles, collected and lovingly restored by their enthusiastic owners. The results of their efforts are on display in this two-day event, held at the Clickimin Centre in Lerwick.

The show has grown steadily over the years and features a remarkably wide variety of motor vehicles. Some of them make their way to Shetland from all over the United Kingdom and, occasionally, farther afield. The display typically includes more than 180 classic cars and more than 160 motorcycles. There are classic lorries, historic buses, and preserved military vehicles. Some of the most interesting exhibits are those still in process of restoration. An astonishingly diverse collection of working stationary engines can also be seen. To top it all off, a classic foy (a Shetland party) is organised for visitors, who dance the night away to Shetland music and enjoy a light traditional supper and refreshments
