Vidlin marina provides good shelter from southerly winds and is accessible at all states of the tide. It’s in the centre of the village, at the head of Vidlin Voe.

A well stocked shop (J.I Herculson,+44 (0)1806 577285) is situated at the cross roads. Toilets are available at the Out Skerries ferry terminal, which is 200 yards along the west shore.

Nearby Lunna House is rich in history. It was the headquarters of the Norwegian resistance movement during the Second World War. It looks down on the old Kirk of Lunna, one of the oldest and most beautiful churches in Shetland.
