Braewick Beach

Braewick beach is just a short walk from the Braewick cafe and campsite near Eshaneess and offers spectacular views of The Drongs, a group of sea stacks off the coast of Hillswick Ness.

The beach is divided into two halves by the Melby Fault, with sedimentary and volcanic rocks at one end and granite at the other. See the Shetland Amenity Trust's page on Braewick Beach for more details on this beach's fascinating geology, which dates back 400 million years.
