A handy new 'Where to Eat' guide featuring restaurants, bars, takeaways, cafes, and Shetland's famous cake fridges has been launched.

For locals and visitors, one of the most frequently asked questions in Shetland is, 'Where should we eat?"

To help answer that, a new guide has been produced by regional food group Taste of Shetland to showcase the number and variety of eateries around the islands.

And the good news is that there's plenty to choose from, whether you fancy the freshest seafood, lovingly prepared bistro meals, or a tasty takeaway.

With more than 70 entries ranging from restaurants overlooking Lerwick Harbour to cake fridges and honesty boxes, you'll be able to find something to satisfy your appetite wherever you are.

Taste of Shetland aimed to include as many local businesses as possible, and media officer Becky Robertson said they were delighted with the outcome.

The guide is available digitally on the Taste of Shetland website, and each of the entries can also be found on Promote Shetland's interactive map. To find a nearby eatery on the interactive map, you should use the 'Interests' drop-down menu and select 'Where to eat'.

A print version of the leaflet is also being produced. NorthLink Ferries sponsored the production of the Where to Eat Guide. Once it is published, it will be available from locations including the NorthLink ferry terminal in Lerwick, Shetland Museum and Archives, and local shops.
