Shetland can be simply stunning in winter. We are 60 degrees north, and on the shortest day of the year there is less than six hours of daylight. This is a huge contrast to the almost never-ending days we have in the middle of summer. But the winter light, and the spectacular changes in weather, offer a truly rewarding experience.
