Gary Buchan (@gazb159)

Gary captures the real Shetland, without excessive photo filters and the use of a professional camera, but his images are really engaging nonetheless. His images of Shetland's fishing fleet are especially noteworthy.

Nothing quite beats a trip to Shetland to experience the true beauty of the place, but these Instagrammers do a good job of bringing the islands to life through their own eyes. Enjoy this fourth blog post celebrating the best of Shetland on Instagram.

Richard Shucksmith (@richardshucksmith)

Richard is a photographer, cameraman and owner of Shetland Photo Tours. He captures amazing pictures of wildlife, like otters, puffins and seals, in their natural habitats. His seabird snaps, particularly the ones featuring gannets, are stunning.

Scott Goudie Photographer (@swg__photography)

Scott marries stunning shots of Shetland's coastal landscape with more day-to-day insights into Shetland life. A big fan of Lerwick Up Helly Aa, he also shares photographs of his involvement in the festival over the years.

Steve Birrell (@steve_in_shetland)

Atmospheric skies are on plentiful display in this Insta account, which perfectly captures the constantly evolving weather patterns in Shetland. Of particular note are the images of the elusive "Mirrie Dancers", or as they're more commonly known, the northern lights.

What Susan Sees (@whatsusansees)

On this Insta page, photographer Susan says she captures "wild places and outdoor spaces" and she does it rather well too, showcasing Shetland and many other places in spectacular style.
