We are very pleased to announce that Puffin Cam is back for 2011. With cameras placed in and around the Puffin burrow there should be great viewing for the season. We're hoping to have a repeat of last years activity which included a chick hatching from its egg and the fantastic opportunity to observe how the parents care for their young in preparation for the fledging of the nest.

This year, the RSPB are asking viewers to keep their eyes peeled for any egg sightings. Helen Moncrieff, RSPB Scotland South Shetland warden, said: “We're urging viewers to keep their eyes open for signs that the birds are laying. The extra eyes will come in handy as it can be quite difficult for staff to monitor these birds everyday and we don't want to miss any of the action.”
