  • Loganair Announces 72hr Shetland Flight Sale
By Deborah LeggateMarch 2nd 2012

25% off all seats on every flight booked this weekend

Loganair, Scotland's Airline, is offering great savings on all of its flights to and from Shetland this weekend as it repeats its popular “25% off Seat Sale” promotion. The price of every seat on every Shetland flight will be reduced by 25% for bookings made between 0001 on Friday 2 March and 2359 on Sunday 4 March. The offer can be used in tandem with the Air Discount Scheme and the 25% Seat Sale reduction applies to the fare but not to the airport taxes and any Air Passenger Duty which may also be payable for the journey in question.

The offer covers every seat on every flight available for sale to and from Sumburgh and flights are presently on sale to the end of the summer season on 27 October 2012 – so it's possible to book discounted flights whether you want to travel next week, during the Easter or summer holidays or for an early Spring break. Flights are bookable via www.flybe.com

The airline, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in February and flies its services to and from Shetland under its franchise agreement with Flybe, offers up to 128 flights every week linking Sumburgh with Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness, Kirkwall and Bergen. Twice-weekly services to the Norwegian city recommence for Summer 2012 on Wednesday 16 May and will run until Saturday 25 August.

Commenting on the offer, Loganair's Chief Operating Officer Jonathan Hinkles said: “Our 25% off Seat Sale promotions in Shetland have historically proven to be incredibly popular, and we expect this offer – with seats available on every route throughout the whole summer season – will see a massive surge in bookings this weekend too. The discount will only be available until midnight on Sunday evening, so it's best to visit www.flybe.com as soon as possible to book your trip!
