The Centre for Creative Industries have announced the dates for their 2011 Textile Tours. The 3 tours will take place on the following dates:
April 15th - 18th
June 24th - 27th
Sept 9th - 12th
The tours will include visits to numerous sites of interest across Mainland Shetland before heading north to Unst and Yell for the workshops. Each tour will have a minimum of four people and a maximum of eight. All meals and transport is provided and fees and materials are also included.
The tours have a strong educational aspect to them in their focus on Shetland textiles, and life in the islands. They will include demonstrations, lectures, talks, workshops, and visits, and will appeal to anyone who is interested in learning some more about textiles in general.
