Voe nestles at the head of the deep, sheltered, sea loch of Olna Firth. The approach is narrow and care should be taken to avoid mussel farming areas.

Voe, more than any other village in Shetland, has a distinctly Norwegian appearance. Its traditional centre lies along the waterfront, where there is a newly rebuilt pier and marina.

Nearby, you’ll find Johnson & Wood's Voe Bakery (+44 (0)1806 588245). A shop, Tagon Stores (+44 (0)1806 588286) and play park are situated on the main road, up the hill and then north from the pier.
